How easily do followers of the
Truth lie?
'Again, ye have heard that it hath
been said by them of old time,
Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but
shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
But I say unto you, Swear not at
all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne:
Nor by the earth; for it is his
footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy
head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
But let your communication be, Yea,
yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.'
Matt.5.33-37
Heaven
'And they shall bring the glory and
honour of the nations into it.
And there shall in no wise enter
into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s
book of life.'
Revelation 21.26-27
Our state of sinfulness needs to
be acknowledge and repented of
'If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is
not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is
not in us.'
1 John 1.8-10
The doctrine of a liar
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is
antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that
acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Shifting the blame - against the evidence!
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:
he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth
not the record that God gave of his Son.
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and
this life is in his Son.
